Mark 12:13-17.

Flattering lips and deceitful hearts. This is what the opposition bring to Jesus as they ask Him a question about taxes. Their aim is to force Jesus to publicly wrestle with the age old question, "What is our relationship to this world supposed to look like?" Jesus takes the opportunity to clarify that disciples have earthly allegiances, but are primarily kingdom citizens with an ultimate allegiance to the King.
