PRAYER

…Someone also opined that Prayer is going to God and receiving instructions. More like soldiers reporting for duty and getting deployed to various duty posts depending on what the master wants accomplished. It is going to God to get battle orders. This presupposes that we realise that life itself is a battleground. Since we are limited in knowledge and ability, wisdom informs us that we need to engage a superior force or source of information, which is only obtainable in the place of Prayer. Hence, to be on top of one's game in this life, Prayer is crucial, so we must be willing to go to God, take instructions and act accordingly. To be effective in this, we must invest quality time.

We can also define Prayer as making requests of one higher than us and better equipped to do what we are looking to do. It is petitioning, imploring, questioning, making a plea. It is a recognition of our frailties and our dependence and or awe of one who is sovereign…
