Luke 18 opens with Jesus telling HIs audience to pray all the time and not lose heart doing so. He then goes on to tell a parable about a poor widow who seeks legal assistance from a judge who doesn't want to be bothered. Finally, the judge relents and gives the widow what she wants. Is this how prayer works with God? Just pester Him persistently until He gives in???
