From the True Love Waits movement to the passed around rose, sexuality has been a taboo and yet in-your-face topic in the church. Altogether, it formed a "purity culture" full of promise rings and no dating rules. Was purity culture toxic and evil? If it was or is, does that mean we're not called to purity? What does scripture say? Does this mean that we can “deconstruct purity”, that it’s just a man made idea and we are free to experience our sexuality however we choose?
