For most of my Christian life, I’ve heard it taught by many that the church is the entity restraining or holding back the revealing of the anti-christ, and until true believers are taken out of the earth to go be with Jesus, amplified lawlessness in the earth can not break forth!

Is this really true? Does the Bible actually teach that? Or is that just an ongoing tradition that many have just determined must be true?
