🔹Ven Pomnyun’s Dharma Q&A
2023. 09. 09.
🔹Question:  I immigrated to the United States when I waslittle and am in my late 30s now. I've somewhat attained my financial goal and recently, sold all my businesses. Right now, I'm in the process of managing my real estate, and helping out inside the house with my family. The problem I've run into is that, because I now have a lot of free time without a 9-to-5 job, I feel like I've become very lazy, in a way. I've told myself that when I quit my business, I'll work out and lose weight, etc. But, instead, I've gained more weight, and I feel ashamed of myself for not being able to do the things that I said I was going to do after I got rid of my business. Anyway, this financialattainment and early retirement were my biggest goals in life. Now that I've somewhat attained that goal, I feel really empty. I don't know what to do with the next phase of my life. And I find myself toying with things that I shouldn't be toying with, things that society tells you not to toy with. What is the best way for me to get the meaning of life back into my life, to fillthat emptiness, and to re-energize my life? That's my question.
