Vocabulary acquisition is -- by far -- the most tedious and time-consuming aspect of GRE prep. However, it’s absolutely essential to raising the ceiling on your verbal score. Unfortunately, most students go about this process completely wrong. And why is this? By memorizing the dictionary definitions of hundreds (or thousands) of words, students are preparing themselves for a task that they actually will not be tested on (i.e., recalling definitions). A must more efficient (and effective) approach is to group words into similar meanings, which is the basis of the ”Semantic Cluster” methodology utilized by Stellar.
