The Chrism Mass is celebrated in every (arch)diocese on, or in proximity to, Holy Thursday morning as the priests of the (arch)diocese gather with their ordinary to renew their promises of ordination. The bishop also blesses the Oil of the Infirmed, the Oil of the Catechumens and consecrates the Sacred Chrism.
