What is church for?

Is it for weddings? It’s great to be able to share the joy of marriage and to pray for God’s blessing.

Is it for baptism? It’s wonderful to see families promising to help their child to follow Jesus.

Is it for funerals? It is so sad to have to say good-bye to loved ones, but it’s good to have somewhere to gather together to remember and honour the memory of our loved ones, to share our grief and find hope in Jesus Christ, the resurrection and the life.

Is it for Sunday worship? It’s so important to gather together every week to worship the Lord and hear from His Word, without the weekly family gathering, how quickly would Jesus slip from our thoughts and lives.
