The cross was not an emergency plan given by God when everything else had failed. It is part of the very life of God. The life of Christ did not change the attitude of God toward us. As if God hated us that He gave His only son to die. It was by God that Jesus was sent to the world. The cross was and is a window in time allowing a man to see the suffering love which was and is and always will be in the heart of God. To see the cross is to look into the deepest parts of God’s heart and begin to see what eternal love is for sinners who do not deserve it.

To see the cross is to understand the type of people we were and still are and the God he always was. To see the cross is look past my suffering and truly see His sovereignty.
