There is so much confusion about investment advisers in the financial industry.   Who are all these people and what do they do?  Find out the the real truth about the difference between a stock broker, financial planner, registered representative, financial consultant, investment adviser, and insurance agent.  How can I tell the who charges commissions and who does not charge commissions.  Who are fee based?  Which of these are insurance agents?  Retirement investment management is a real issue when determining what the motivation is for my investment advisor.  Is it commissions or are they working in my best interest?
