So disruptive innovation is kind of like the cool kid who crashes the party completely uninvited. And when we think about that from an innovation perspective, yes, we want people to change things up, but at the same time, we wanna make sure that nothing gets broken.
Now radical innovation is kind of like being thrown a curve ball when everyone is expecting. A straight ball. It changes and mixes things up in a completely different way in order to come up with new ideas.
Now discontinuous innovation is when we kind of skip a few steps and just arrive at a new place and a new space with an invention or an idea. It's about trying to move beyond just a continual, slow [00:01:00] evolution way of innovating, but jumping forward for something that people haven't expected before.
And finally we have breakthrough innovation. A breakthrough innovation is when we have that aha, eureka moment that seems to come from out of nowhere, but really it's a result of all of this unconscious processing, of all of the challenges, of all of the ideas. And rather than continually come up with the idea, it just comes left of center.
