What is the difference between unity and uniformity? (Part Two)

Listen Later

Well, we’re back to bring a conclusion to the conversation we started last week. If you haven’t had chance to do so, you’re going to want to jump back to Episode 43 before joining us here. But, today, Cameron and Dr. J talk through in more depth the difference between uniformity and unity within the church. We don’t need to all be the same, but we do need to be together. Unity alone cannot be the goal; rather, we must strive to be diversely unified. And, you play an important role in achieving this wherever God has placed you.
02:50 — Is it wrong for a husband and a wife to attend different churches?
07:37 — Since Jesus paid the price for our sins does that mean all who died before him went to hell?
09:32 — What is the difference between unity and uniformity?
10:49 — What about diversity? Should the church pursue diversity? What does that look like? Are there limits to a church’s diversity (for example, LGBTQ communities)?
17:45 — What is our role in race relations?
20:45 — But what if we don’t agree? What if I don’t like this or that person? How do I have unity with them?
26:08 — What do we do when a church lacks biblical unity?
