She started her career by working in the Style section of the Washington Post. She has contributed to publications such as, The New York Times Style section, T: The New York Times Style Magazine & WSJ (Wall Street Journal’s style magazine), Los Angeles Times, The New Yorker, Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue, etc. She is now the Editor-at-Large for Vogue Business.
