What is Underparenting?

In this episode, Danny and Monica talk about underparenting teenagers, following their conversation about overparenting in episode 25. They share observations about permissive parenting and uninvolved parenting, discussing the differences between the two. They consider reasons why Asian American parents might be inclined to less involved parenting based on the style of their parents’ generation. Lastly, they discuss ways parents can reduce or move away from underparenting their teenagers.
