Wallpaper is no longer something that you can stick to a wall in your home. It comes in various designs and can be used for your bedroom, living room, kitchen, ceiling -- almost anywhere.

It is also made up of different materials. Some can be made of paper at the front and fabric at the back, while others can be made of the opposite way around.

Different Types and Sizes of Wallpapers

Wallpapers come in different types. The popular ones are called commercial vinyl's. They are heavy and wash well. Two other types are digital graphics and grasscloth.

Typically sizes are 20.5 inches x 27 inches and 30 inches x 36 inches. It depends on the manufacturer and brand.

Nailing It With the Right Primer

Not sure how much you will need for your home? You can work with a designer, paint store, and/or installer to help you out.

Apart from the type and size, you also need to consider the primer you need to use. Wallpaper primers are different from paint primers. Understand what you need to do first and follow the instructions.
