When we are born, even as children, we have an honesty in our being, curiosity, playfulness. We act from an inner source. This makes us response-able. But as we get older, as we enter society and the workforce, we lose the connection to our inner self... this makes us reactive. This is a very different state of being. 

The world can inform you, but it should not shape you.
