In this week’s episode, we were blessed with the presence of Akeem Hoyte-Charles who is a Stand-up Comedian and actor born in Montreal, Quebec.   We explore Akeem’s comedic journey as he grew up in the small town of Chateauguay, dropping out of college twice and leaving a promising career in sales at age 25 to become a comedian.   Akeem decided to switch his focus from business to the arts. He hopped on stage at an open mic at a local comedy club in Montreal and has since performed in Los Angeles, New York, Toronto, and Vancouver where he currently lives.  We finish off the show with some usual light banter about what it's like to date as a black comedian in Vancouver and how he maneuvers in a scene that is not dominated by minorities.
