Have you ever wondered what it's like to live between multiple places? Perhaps you are considering living in two different spots: your work and a place outside, a holiday home, a different part of the state, a separate state, or even a foreign country.
Where do you call home? In this video, I share my experience as an international nomad.
Since I finished my undergraduate degree I have studied or worked abroad in multiple countries. Currently, I live between the US and Europe.
One pro is the variety that living in more than one place affords. At the same time, selling physical items and managing things when I'm away from one home is tricky. Costs also increase because you must factor in accommodation, transport, subscriptions, clothing, travel, etc. for more than one location. And there are tax issues that arise when you live in different regions - some tricky reporting situations, yet some rewarding opportunities you can avail of.
The greatest challenge is how you manage your relationships with friends, colleagues, and family. It can be difficult to attend to relations, especially with the tension that distance adds. That said, you benefit from the differences in the cultures and groups you meet.
