What do you mean by Investment? A. Investment definition is an asset acquired or invested in to build wealth and save money from the hard earned income or appreciation. Investment meaning is primarily to obtain an additional source of income or gain profit from the investment over a specific period of time.

The terms ‘investing’ and ‘trading’ are often used interchangeably. However, there are key differences between the two financial strategies. The goal of investing is generally to build wealth over the medium to long term. By contrast, the goal of trading is to generate profits in the short-term.

Compound interest is when the interest you earn on a balance in a savings or investing account is reinvested, earning you more interest. As a wise man once said, “Money makes money.
