How do we describe what we want our cinematic images to look like without an agreed-upon definition of what “cinematic” means? Art Adams is a Cinema Lens Specialist at ARRI, and a large part of his job is to translate the characteristics of lens design from the language of engineering to the language of cinema. Ryan is talking with Art about this issue today along with the way film and digital interpret color, the evolution of lens design, and much more!
