What makes us accept Jesus at the beginning of our journey and then reject him over time? The Gospel of Luke 4:31-37 shows us that attitude makes all the difference when we contrast the people of Capernaum and those in Nazareth. What is hindering Jesus from taking control in our lives? Are we willing to be open to the gift of faith? What sin or temptation might be in the way of this journey; whatever might it be, let us offer it and pray to the Lord.
