My brother has had and still has a difficult life. He left home at 14 and made his way from there. Now both in our sixties, I wanted to know what had saved him.

"What Saved You?"

While "the unexamined life is not worth living," is a stronger stance than I take, I do believe the examined life allows a person to get smarter about how to live it. 

So, that's what I do here—reflect on my life or something from life. My hope is that my public reflections prompt your own private reflections and that together we build a life with a little more breathing room, a little more intelligence, a little more forgiveness for ourselves and those we love.
