Many of us experienced at least a measure of isolation during the recent Pandemic. But for some people, that isolation is every day. There are thousands of senior citizens across the state who can't get out, aren't physically able to drive, who've outlived their friends or family, or for some reason are just stuck at home, alone. There's no quick trip to the grocery store for them, and sometimes not enough money to buy groceries even if they could get out. 
That's where organizations such as Mid-Cumberland Meals-on-Wheels come into play. They, and their volunteers, deliver meals to hundreds of home-bound seniors, and are sometimes the only company the recipients see.
