As mothers, we want the best for our children and we expect that we’ll be the ones who are responsible to give them that. This episode discusses the feelings moms have when they compare themselves to unrealistic society ideals or their own expectations and find themselves falling short. We didn’t have the term “mom guilt” when our own kids were small. But Yes, we had it- shame of leaving them at day care, fear that they weren’t developing as quickly as other kids in church nursery, or just looking at ourselves as young mothers and wondering if we even knew what we were doing. Now that our children are adults, we see that our role is to do our best to bless our children how we are able to and not to be riddled with guilt when things don't go as expected, His grace is sufficient.
