What the World Still Needs

Luke 2:1-14 Peace

Bid Idea: Peace isn’t the absence of problems, it’s the presence of Jesus in the problems. It’s a “relational peace”.

What we need to understand about the Peace that Jesus brought that night…

1. Peace arrived before the chaos ended. God injected His Peace into the chaos.

2. Peace began with the Good News, not good circumstances (Luke 2:11). 

Savior: Rescue from sin, guilt & separation (Romans 5:1).

Messiah: The long-awaited Messiah, fulfillment of prophecy (Micah 5:2).

Lord: Sovereign ruler over all things (Philippians 2: 9-11)

Peace flows out of God’s goodness, not our performance.

3. Peace spread wherever Jesus was worshipped. Peace comes not from being in control, but from trusting the One who is.

You cannot experience peace regularly if you only worship occasionally. Worship is a natural response to Jesus.
