In my childhood tapestry, the looming specter of aging gripped me, fostering a fear that extended to my own journey through time. I crafted a song reflecting on the poignant duality of our world—its intrinsic cruelty intertwined with profound beauty.

In the second verse, I delved into traditional Japanese expressions from Heike Monogatari, adding a cultural touch inspired by Japanese literature. My grandfather, once a stalwart presence, climbed Mt. Fuji at 88, showcasing inspiring vigor. However, the passage of time now challenges him, his strength gradually waning.

Collaborating with music producer Billy Ray Schlag, we aimed to encapsulate the timeless Motown sound, weaving a captivating musical journey that serves as the backdrop to these poignant musings on life and aging.
