Welcome back to the Smash system podcasts. I’m Nino Prodan. And today I want to talk about what to do when you just don’t feel like doing it. What do you do after a long day at work, you get home and you’re going to work on your business, you’re going to work on something that’s important to you. And you’re just wiped out, wiped out by all the BS you had to deal with while you’re at work like that by all the traffic you had to drive through on the way home. Maybe the story is going through your head that you know what, I just put this off until tomorrow, or, you know, this is my thing. I don’t need to do it right now. And I understand it’s kind of ironic, because today, I’m wiped out by everything I was working on today. And I’m recording this podcast. After a long day of just grinding something out. It was it was enjoyable, but I’m wiped out. So I’m going to go through the routine that I go through when I feel this way. First, I try to understand why I don’t feel like doing it. You know, in my case now, what I did was I worked really hard today and I’m mentally exhausted. So the first thing I do is understand it. And you want to try to understand it as deeply as possible. If you just feel tired, that’s one thing, but is it a story that is making you tired? Are you putting something off because you’re afraid to screw it up? Because sometimes that makes you feel tired. You know? Are you putting something off because you don’t feel like it? Or maybe you’re putting it off because it’s hard or boring? Or maybe it seems like it’s insurmountable. So that’s the first thing. Second step is to just accept the feeling except that you have to do it to say hey, you know what? I this is how I Feel. And what this does, unconsciously subconsciously, is it lets your emotions know that they’re being heard. And it’s crazy. But once your emotions are heard, sometimes they stop bugging you they stop nagging you. You might even feel like it’s not that big of a deal to do now, maybe, but that usually at least takes the edge off. The third step is to start to list the positives of taking action. What’s the big picture? What’s the reason that you want to do this? If this is if you’re working in your business, you know, start to look at why you’re working in your business. Why are you trying to create freedom from working for somebody else? Think about the life that you’ll have. Think about. All the time you’re putting in now paying off later, with more time, more freedom, more command of your life. more time to spend with people you love. You know, nowadays, when you’re setting up software or something, all the hard work is really on the front end. And once everything’s done, you can kind of cruise so sometimes you think it’s just a short term deal. And finally, once you understand the reasons for doing it, step number four is just do it. If you’re not fully motivated to do it by this point, and just suck it up and push through. Usually By this time, you’re feeling pretty good, but sometimes you know what, sometimes you just do need to suck it up and just say, you know what, I’ll be grateful for this later. But right now, this sucks, and it’s alright, I’m going to do it. Anyway. I hope this helps. I hope you get to build more of your freedom with this trick, and I will talk to you next week.
