Fear is something every believer faces, but Scripture shows us that fear does not disqualify us from being used by God. God does not wait for fearless people. He reassures fearful people until they become faithful people. Through the story of Gideon, we learn that fear can cause us to shrink instead of stand, hide instead of hope, and survive instead of serve. Yet God meets us with His promises, His presence, and His power. From Moses to Joshua to the disciples, God consistently calls ordinary, fearful people to trust Him and step forward. Faith grows when we choose to faith fear with God’s promises, face it with His presence, and fight it with His power.
