From an early age, I had a big dream. I wanted to become a physician so I could help others. My mother, who did not go to college, worked incredibly hard to pay for my education and make it possible for me to achieve my dream. After more than 14 years of training in Peru (my home country) and in the US, I felt I was ready for the next step in my medical journey.
