This follows KwaZulu-Natal police commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi’s claims that the SAPS has been captured by criminal syndicates. The inquiry’s scope will be broader than just the police; it will hone in on the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA), the State Security Agency, the Judiciary, and even certain metro police departments.
