To truly understand God, we must examine His attributes throughout all of Scripture. In this message, we explore how theologians categorize God's characteristics into two essential types: incommunicable attributes (those unique to God alone) and communicable attributes, qualities He shares with humanity and calls us to emulate. While God remains absolutely one in His divine essence, He invites us into relationship through His shared qualities like holiness. Though we cannot achieve perfect holiness, Scripture repeatedly commands us to be holy because He is holy, calling us to live set apart lives that reflect His character.
Since God calls us to emulate His communicable attributes like holiness, what practical steps can you take this week to better reflect one of God's shared qualities in your daily interactions, knowing that while perfection isn't the goal, transformation is?
