This is such a great premise for an episode, I love this a LOT. The whole concept is that our vampire friends (well at least the undead ones, we don't know what Colin's deal is) died and left ghosts behind with unfinished business. Each of them has to figure out what that is, and fulfill it (or not, as the case may be) to send their spirit on to the great beyond.
Also, it appears we haven't actually said goodbye to Gregor forever! But now he's called Jesk.
