“Following Jesus” is only mentioned in the Gospels by Jesus…and is not carried forward into the letters written by the Apostles to the churches. Why? What if the writer (entire argument) of Hebrews has it right…the Good News is about entering His REST—not about a new system of obligation, personal effort, and attempts to gain God’s favor!
