Listen Later

  1. College sports postponing sports
    1. Trevor - Opinion
    2. Mark - No opinion (Don’t get fired!) - will provide examples of what KCAC and NAIA are doing.
      1. NAIA - governs 20 conferences around the country (Also have the Association of Independent Institutions)
        1. Has given conferences autonomy to make decision on if they will play in the fall - KCAC is.
        2. Have postponed fall championships to spring, will still allow conferences to compete in fall if they so choose.
        3. Practice and start of games - pushed back roughly two weeks.
        4. KCAC
          1. Has declared intent to return play in the fall.
          2. Football - has an altered schedule, allowing for play in the fall, makeup days, and potential games in the spring.
          3. NBA Playoffs starting soon
            1. Western Conference - playoff picture becoming a little clearer. 7 teams set, still a race for the eighth seed.
              1. Portland - currently in 8th seed. Damian Lillard - playing out of his mind!
              2. Memphis, Phoenix, San Antonio still alive! (All 0.5 games back)
                1. Memphis - would be fun to see their young core get some experience in the playoffs! Injuries to Jaren Jackson Jr. (torn meniscus) and Justice Winslow (hip) hurt those chances.
                2. Phoenix - 7-0 in seeding games!
                3. Eliminated - New Orleans, Sacramento.
                4. Eastern Conference - set.
                5. Aug 14 - last day of regular play. At least one play in game (8 vs. 9) on Aug. 15, another on Aug 16 if necessary. Games being played Thursday will determine 8 and 9 seeds (team “on the bubble” aren’t scheduled to play on Aug 14)
                6. MLB Discussions
                  1. A’s - Astros Brawl Fallout

                    2. Alex Cintron (Astros’ hitting coach) - suspended 20 games. Provoked Laureano.
