Journey with Jesus - Navigating Life with Christ

What Would Your World Look Like If You Completely Trust in Jesus

Listen Later

In this life-shifting episode of Journey with Jesus, we step back and honestly ask the question that changes everything: What would your world actually look like if you completely trusted Jesus—no partial trust, no backup plans, no “I’ll trust Him unless…” clauses? Just total, wholehearted, moment-by-moment reliance on Him.

This isn’t theory. It’s what happens when someone hands the keys of their life to Christ and stops trying to drive.

You stop being tossed by every headline, diagnosis, bank alert, text message, or social media comment.

Anxiety loses its chokehold because your security is no longer tied to what you can control—it’s locked in the One who controls everything.

Jesus promised: “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you… Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid” (John 14:27). When you truly believe He’s good and sovereign, that peace becomes your default setting, not a rare visitor.

Decisions get clearer—not easier, but clearer.

The dominant question shifts from “What do I want?” or “What’s safest?” to “What honors Jesus? What does obedience look like right here?”

That single filter slices through confusion like a blade. You still face hard choices, but you make them with a compass instead of a weather vane. Over time you look back and see how many destructive paths were quietly blocked and how many “impossible” doors swung wide open.

Fear of people collapses.

You stop performing for applause, stop freezing under criticism, stop shrinking to fit in.

“The fear of man lays a snare, but whoever trusts in the LORD is safe” (Prov 29:25).

When your worth is anchored in being chosen and loved by Christ before the foundation of the world (Eph 1:4), human opinions become background noise. You can speak truth kindly, love the unlovable, say no when you should, say yes when it costs you—because you’re no longer begging for acceptance from people who can’t give it anyway.

Money, success, and stuff lose their throne.

You still work diligently, but you stop worshipping the outcome.

You give more generously because you know the One who owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Ps 50:10).

You can lose a job, a contract, a house, a season of prosperity and still sleep at night—because your treasure is no longer in what rusts or can be stolen, but in Christ who never fails.

Relationships heal or at least become healthier.

You forgive faster because you remember how much you’ve been forgiven.

You love without strings because you’re no longer desperate for love in return.

You can walk away from toxic situations without bitterness because your identity isn’t tied to being needed or wanted by broken people.

Suffering stops being meaningless.

Pain still hurts—deeply—but it no longer terrifies you.

You know God is not punishing you; He is pruning you, preparing you, or positioning you to comfort others later (2 Cor 1:3–4).

You can say with Paul, “I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us” (Rom 8:18), and actually believe it.

You become strangely free to enjoy life.

Because your identity, security, and future are locked in Christ, you laugh harder, rest deeper, play more freely, love more recklessly, risk more courageously.

The more seriously you take Jesus, the lighter everything else becomes.

A life of complete trust in Jesus doesn’t remove every problem.

It removes the terror from the problems.

It replaces striving with surrender, control with confidence, and fear with peace that passes understanding.

Your world would look like this:

Secure. Clear. Courageous. Generous. Resilient. Joyful.

Not perfect—but anchored in the One who is.

If the thought of living this way stirs something deep inside you, subscribe to the Journey with Jesus channel — we keep pointing everything back to the One who makes it possible.

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” — Proverbs 3:5–6 (NIV)

He’s trustworthy.

Even when—especially when—everything in you wants to keep gripping the wheel.

Let go.

Trust Him completely.

Watch your world change.
