As Mary Ellen’s goal is to bring to light the types of anxiety disorders, reminder to not go and diagnose yourself with any of these disorders as this is to inform and educate you not to therapize you. Going through generalized anxiety disorder, to phobias, agoraphobia, social anxiety disorder, and panic disorder, these all fall under the category of anxiety disorder and all share the same irrational thoughts in our brain. For those who may suffer from these disorders, Mary Ellen explains the process of cognitive behavioral treatment/therapy and her own method with patients to help look at logistics and fight against the nasty irrational liar that’s in our brain.
