Sickle cell disease affects millions of people in the world with about 5% of the world population being healthy carriers of the disease. On this episode we are joined by Agnes Nsofwa who is the founder of Australia Sickle Cell Advocacy , a health carrier and a mother of a sickle cell survivor. We discuss the current state of affair in the sickle cell world, current treatment and frustrations. In the age of information and technology there is an urgency to get the screening, research and treatment to support millions who suffer and their families.
