Dark and obtrusive, sometimes abusive,
annoyingly stubborn heat of a mess.
Unobtained beauty, the walls stand up so high.

Deep below the surface of our over dramatic lives.
Layer by layer, I push and I pull
the need to be loved, the safety to unfold.
Impatience, impounding, compounding, compressed
with anger, aggression, wild with pain
I come undressed.
Fear of withholding, because of not knowing
controlling, controlling, controlling.
Panic, hold tight,
we’re only just beginning
you’ve forgot to share the light;
ignite, ignite, ignite.
You’ll also find a tender, soft-hearted rendition
of a beautiful song, sung of the empathic tongue.
Yet sharpness, and bitter, my words sometimes give quiver—
I wrap them with stardust
and sprinkle with glitter.
The truth’s in the lies, I am trying to hide
I mean to unfold,
are you sure you want to go there,
so deep in my soul?
She’s scared but she’s willing
timid and shy;
I’ll fight every moment, for it’s always worth it
I want to know why
fear and the loathing.
Yet wise, be uncloaking.
Brutally honest, a fault
there’s not a thing worth NOT knowing.
Unveiling the lie,
my truest self lives inside.
We know what we know; brash, bitter, cold,
and we are who we are; tender, loving, gold.
So if you really want to know,
let go of the lie.
