What if the greatest obstacle to God's promises isn't opposition... but comfort?

In Episode 3 of What You're Too Afraid to Say, we continue our series, Acting on My Own Timing, by looking at the story of the tribes of Reuben and Gad in Numbers 32.

When they reached the edge of the Promised Land, they saw land that looked good enough and asked to stay where they were instead of moving forward into what God had promised.

How often do we do the same?

Sometimes settling doesn't look like rebellion.

It looks like choosing what's familiar over what's faithful, what's comfortable over what's called, or what's convenient over complete trust in God.

• Have I mistaken comfort for God's confirmation?

• Where have I stopped short because "good enough" felt easier?

• Is God inviting me to trust Him beyond what's familiar?

Ask God to reveal any area where you've settled for less than what He is inviting you into. Read Numbers 32, spend time in prayer, and ask Him for the courage to take one faithful step forward.

In this week’s episode of What You’re Too Afraid to Say, we continue our series, Acting on My Own Timing, by looking at the life of King Solomon in 1 Kings 11.

Solomon was known for his wisdom, yet over time his heart slowly drifted. His story reminds us that we rarely wake up one day far from God. More often, our hearts begin to wander long before our actions do.

Together, we’ll explore questions like:

• What desires are shaping my decisions?

• Have I allowed good things to become greater than God?

• Am I pursuing God’s will, or simply what I want?

This conversation is an invitation to let God search your heart, realign your desires, and trust His timing over your own.

This week’s challenge: Spend time in prayer asking God to reveal any desire that has become more important than your relationship with Him. Read 1 Kings 11 and ask Him to align your heart with His.
