What does being true really mean? Jesus tells us in John 6:55 “For My flesh is true food, and My blood is true drink”. So when the disciples heard these things it really challenged them. See in that time it was wrong to drink the blood of an animal. “He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him. As the living father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who eats Me, he also will live because of Me.” John 6:56-57. When the disciples heard this statement it was tough for them to hear. We finds that Whatever is True is also the most difficult thing to hear.
