It’s terrifying to realize that the scariest place in the world is a place you can’t escape. And what “place” is that exactly? Your mind. Some of the most effective horror movies over the years are the ones where the villain is unseen for the majority of the film. That’s because the villain we project in our mind is worse than any villain Hollywood can cook up. Crazy, right? Our thoughts are powerful—more than we realize. So what do we do with this reality? How do we handle the fact that the worst battles we’ll face of our own making in our mind? How do we get control of toxic thoughts before they get control of us?
The life you’re living today is a reflection of the life you’ve been living in your thoughts. And for many of us, that explains a whole lot! Our thought lives are dominated by toxic patterns of thought. And if we’re ever going to break these deadly ways of thinking, it starts by identifying lies of the Enemy and the toxic mindsets we’ve allowed to grow in our thoughts.
