The consumer watchdog ASIC has filed a lawsuit against HSBC over allegations of failing to protect hundreds of customers in a widespread phone scam. In a statement, a spokesperson from the banking giant says protecting customers "remains a top priority", insisting the company continues to make investments into "scam prevention, detection, and response."
