When Jesus died on the cross:
1. He showed us the greatest demonstration of love ever (John 15:13; Romans 5:6-8).
2. He paid the greatest ransom ever: He paid for all our sins in full (Mark 10:45; John 19:30).
3. He satisfied the most important requirements ever: God’s holy requirements toward our sins (1 John 4:10).
4. He provided the greatest forgiveness ever (Ephesians 1:7; 1 John 1:7).
5. He made possible the greatest reconciliation ever: the reconciliation of very sinful people to an absolutely holy God (Colossians 1:21-22).
personal applications:
1. Put your faith in Jesus alone as Savior and Lord.
2. Tell others what Jesus did on the cross for them and urge them to put their faith in Him.
