Season 2 follows three hapless robots (ChroniCarl, PsychoBot 2000, and Helpis) plus their one human companion (Donny Fink) as they are dragged unwillingly into a murder mystery that may have far-reaching political ramifications. Of course, they can't be bothered with that unless dragged kicking and screaming by their GM back into the story.

Episode 8 - The Scene of the Crime

Our four courageous heroes return to the scene of a crime. Again. This is literally the same opening from episode 6. They can't help themselves, apparently. A process server has threatened the crew with the expenses of all the destroyed GearX robots as a result of their brush with celebrity. But no worries, as Seuss lets everyone know how they can "leverage" Helpis's body parts for liquidity. The newfound wealth that Helpis possesses turns out to be useless without ClankedIn, and thus they go about trying to rectify this situation. Then, the economy collapses, Two Arms Toneigh becomes a distant threat for ChroniCarl and PB walks disinterestedly through a massive street brawl that her friends are all actively engaged in.

Episode 7 - I'm Very Good At My Job

In the middle of a very boring conversation about capital finance, an investigator shows up to serve Helpis with a summons for the damage caused to the robots crushed by the SPU. Everyone has a showdown on who is the most competent in their respective fields, and it ends with Helpis selling his body to the bank. Of course, Helpis isn't Helpis in the eyes of the corporate state, so they embark on a new mission to get access to his newfound liquidity via a new ClankedIn chip.

Our four courageous heroes return to the scene of a crime. Helpis does a bit that gets everyone threatened with jail. After narrowly escaping via attrition, they decide to handle PB's rapidly deteriorating battery situation. A small crowd of gawkers assemble to make life difficult for Helpis, and Donny gets to play peacemaker just for ChroniCarl to make it worse. Also, BEANBAGS!

Helpis is ChroniCarl - ChroniCarl is Helpis! After Helpis commits some "light identity theft," our hapless heroes have to sort out newfound infamy and an aggressive crowd of resentful union robots convinced ChroniCarl has gotten one over on them again. Donny plays a pivotal role in diffusing the situation and PB is surly in an adorable way.

After questioning, Helpis, Psychobot, Chronicarl and Donny are housed in a holding cell next to a "friend" of ChroniCarl's. After some catching up, a simple request goes remarkably right in a really wrong way. Helpis learns about ClankedIn, and we all learn a fun little lesson about money.

ChroniCarl has a very specific demand for his captors, but they do not acquiesce. Detective Rand, a boyish detective, turns the screws on the crew and lays out the extremely plausible case he has built up against them. Things are not looking good for our scrappy robot pals and their human pet in this one. Could a paper detective hat save the day? Only one way to find out!
