God’s love is not a vague feeling we chase, but a divine reality that has a clear source, a clear sending, and a clear evidence—because love comes from God, love was delivered to us in Jesus, and love is displayed through believers. In 1 John 4:7–12, John confronts our weariness and skepticism about love and points us to the only love that can heal what life has hardened: the love that saved us becomes the love we show, so that an unseen God is made visible through a seen people.
