Reading I John 3:10-15 we are reminded that there are children of God and children of the devil. Love is essential, not optional. Anger and jealousy motivated Cain to kill his brother, Abel. Cain’s heart was not right. Loving others is a sign of salvation. There are three tests to proof our true Christianity. 1) The truth test, 2) the love test, and 3) the moral test. Are you able to take up your cross and love those who are hard to love? Love is the evidence of a new birth. We know we have passed from death to life when we have a love for the brethren. As true Christians, we were dead spiritually and then found life through Jesus Christ. The world will know what you are by the way you love others.
