If you meet an old friend who asks you, “I haven’t seen you in years. What’s new with you?” What might you say?
“Nothing new, same ole thing”? Or, “I’m just getting older”? But God gives us reason to say, “It’s new every day.”
God has given us a new covenant which is Jesus, who gave His life for us (Mark 14:24). “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come” (2 Corinthians 5:17).
So, what’s new with you? Are you new in Christ Jesus? Are you new in the Spirit? Are you new in your heart? Are you
new every day? Do you have a new song to sing?
