The stigma of Therapy has plagued the African American community for decades. With the passing of the NBA Legend Kobe Bryant, the issue of Mental Health is a prevalent question. Three African American women who are pursuing their doctorate degrees came together to for a podcast called On The Couch. They stress the importance of Therapy in the African American community as well as define the differences between Mental Health vs Mental Illness; the former being how you feel and the cause and the latter the result of staying in that state of mind.
