With Javier out sick this week, Marc and Cole begin the episode discussing the fallout of Dennis Smith Jr apparently checking himself out of North Carolina State’s latest blowout loss, as Smith allegedly noted that he’s had enough. Where do we have him now on our respective big boards?

We then break down some premiere wings in this class, starting with Jayson Tatum and his play against North Carolina. Tatum’s concerns mostly revolved around the defensive side of ball entering the year, and we highlight why the opposite might be true. We also check back in on Josh Jackson’s recent offensive and shooting surge, with Marc highlighting his statistics jumping out of the red in some areas for the first time. To wrap up college prospects, we briefly discuss draft super sleeper Mikal Bridges and how he could be the 3&D wing steal that no one is talking about.

To close out, we excitedly bring back NBA talk for the first time since very early podcasts, focusing on the Denver Nuggets. Nikola Jokic has had a historically elite start to his career, and we rate his absurd playmaking game against other generational young bigs: Kristaps Porzingis, Karl Anthony Towns, Joel Embiid and Anthony Davis. Where do we rank Jokic amongst that group? Finally, we briefly cover Denver’s other popular young prospect Jamal Murray, and discuss if our evaluations of him have changed.
